Pacman eats up SEO

Google, the world’s top search engine, recently commemorated the 30th anniversary of Pacman with a useable game on its home page. The walls of the Pacman maze were designed to spell out Google, and even came with a two-player mode. This triggered a mass search for Pacman-related terms, and they were statistically the most searched terms for that day.

Browsers spent countless hours playing Pacman on the Google home page. Some supervisors even voiced complaints about the interface affecting employee productivity!

Google has been very inventive on its home page, often commemorating holidays, pop icons, etc. with the interface.
